VLLA op VRIJDAG is huiskamerclubben met music, art, food en performance. Deze keer wordt de avond gehost door Kulter.! Kulter. is een collectief van beeldend kunstenaars, muzikanten en schrijvers dat gezamenlijk kunstige evenementen organiseert in galeries, concertzalen en huiskamers: exposities, workshops, concerten.
Kulter. is dakloos sinds juli 2013 en op zoek naar een nieuwe projectruimte in Amsterdam-West. Op vrijdag 23 mei biedt VLLA hen onderdak, met liefde en een diepe buiging voor wat zij doen: “stimulating cross-overs between art, performance, music, words. A couple of artists are invited to participate in an exhibition around a theme, making pieces that relates to the location and to the other works. The result is meant to be interesting for both the public and the makers. We create a home sphere wherin the artists and the public can discuss informally the work and workprocess, sharing a meal and enjoying qualitative relevant performances.”

WHAT TO EXPECT?
Besides the garden and the bar/restaurant area where we’ll start the program from dinnertime on with poetry and songs, the exhibition and performance rooms extend through a white cubic volume consisting in a ground floor and a balcony floor. Next to intimate video work on loop, the exhibition consists in drawings and volumes by local and international artists. From 22:00 on, our guests are invited to project more and more drawings along our journey from singable to experimental to danceable music.
