Kulter. is a collective of performance artists, musicians and writers. stimulating cross-overs between art, performance, music, words. On the 24th of October Kulter. presents an exhibition by 14 participants, mixed with poetry, a live ‘built’ wall of sound, live music by Tremula, DJ tunes from P.b. Spasovski and Oscar. You’re also welcome to join in on the open BBQ (bring your own food)!

After launching at Kapitaal in Utrecht last month, now they head for Amsterdam: a one-issue only « crisis » magazine publication ‘Negatieven’ with a selection of work by the 14 participants: Anna van der Kruis, Brechtje van Riel, Dirk van Pelt, Jan-Pieter Karper, Manon Rugge, Martijn Dijksma, Merei Sandbrink, Petra van der Jeught, Raoul Wassenaar, Rick Storm, Sander Janssens, Studio Zijspan, Else van Wulfften Palthe.

The Tremula project is a collaboration between vocalist Elsa Grégoire and pianist Lukas Rabe. In their approach to musical creation, you are invited to a musical world where it is impossible to tell where the words end and the music starts.

Markus Haringa was born in 1981 in Zierikzee, NL. He grew up in the North of the Netherlands and studied Culture and Society Sciences in Maastricht, including philosophy in Hong Kong. Now, he lives and works in Amsterdam. Previous performances at: Pageturner, Vurige Tongen Ruigoord, Pictura, Festina Lente, De Nieuwe Anita, Watou Poetry Slam (België), Schijnheilig, Friday at Six (radio), Tech Open Air (Berlin), Campus Party Europe (Berlin) & many more.
VOID OF SOUND

Void Of Sound is Sigurd Borge Kristoffersens ambient/drone project. Its been around since 2009, and since then, he has released albums, collaborations, pieces and played many concerts, both in Norway and abroad. This is his second time in Holland, and first time in Amsterdam. His inspiration comes from such musicians as Svarte Greiner, Marsen Jules, Biosphere, Rockettothesky, Yellow6, Alexander Rishaug and more.
Void Of Sounds music can be described as a wall of sounds. He improvises live with his guitar, effect pedals and computer. The result is huge sounds and atmospheres that blow.
Now he focuses on the sounds from the guitar, with combinations of a computer and field recordings. Live he builds a wall of sound, one brick at the time.

A couple of artists are invited to participate in an exhibition around a theme, making pieces that relate to the location and to the other works. The result is meant to be interesting for both the public and the makers.
Kulter. creates a home sphere wherin the artists and the public can informally discuss the work and workprocess, sharing a meal and enjoying qualitative relevant performances.
